Katzman Salesforce Industrious

Store visit walkthrough · November 2026

Record the store visit.
Salesforce does the follow-up.

A short walkthrough of how a Katzman rep could record a store visit on her phone, and have Salesforce turn the conversation into updated records, tasks and a visit note, with the rep approving every change.

One recordingis all the rep makes. The ad, the prices, the credit, the promises and the next visit are drafted from the conversation, for the rep to approve.

The walkthrough

Just under seven minutes. Pick a chapter to jump straight to it. Captions are off by default and available from the player controls.

Sample data throughout: the rep, the store and the owner are fictional. The store conversation is a simulated recording; the transcript, AI suggestions and visit note are real Salesforce output.

What you will see

One store visit, from the parking lot to updated records before the rep is back in the car.

Before the visit

Dana, a Katzman Distribution rep, starts at her desk with her dashboard, calendar and today's route, then opens Garden State Fresh Market on her phone: the berry ad she's working on, the open quality case on lot 4471 and what her last visit covered.

Watch

Record the visit

One tap on Record Visit. Dana asks the owner for consent and ticks the box, then taps Start. She just talks to her customer, with no typing and no notes, and taps Stop when they're done.

Watch

The recording and its title

Salesforce saves the recording and turns the speech into text. AI then names the visit, so anyone can scan it: the store, the visit type, the date and what it was about.

Watch

Suggested updates

AI suggests the updates from the conversation: ad volume and dates, the owner's ask and Dana's offer kept apart, the credit and trace on the lot, the next visit and a task for each promise. Each line shows the words it came from. Dana unticks one and taps Apply.

Watch

Visit note and checklist

The store visit note fills in a Katzman-style format: ad, pricing, displays, training, quality, commitments and the next visit. The checklist shows what the conversation covered. Dana adds one detail and marks the note final.

Watch

Back at her desk

Later, Dana opens the same visit on her desktop: the updates she applied with the words they came from, the AI-drafted note she marked final, the checklist at nine of ten, the account with sales and contacts, and the berry ad at the proposal stage.

How it works

Everything runs in Salesforce. The AI works on its own after Stop; nothing is written to the account until the rep taps Apply.

  1. Record VisitA recorder built in Salesforce, on the store's account. Consent first, then Start and Stop.
  2. Speech-to-textSalesforce turns the conversation into a transcript seconds after Stop.
  3. Einstein promptsWrite the title, suggested updates, checklist and visit note for the rep to review.
  4. Rep approvalApply writes only the ticked items to the opportunity, the account and the case.

Next steps

A practical way to move from this walkthrough to a plan for Katzman.

  1. Working sessionWalk through the visit with your sales leads and note what fits how your reps work today.
  2. Your formatShape the visit note and checklist around your services: ads and programs, displays, merchandising, produce manager training.
  3. A small pilotA few reps and their store accounts, measuring how much of each visit reaches Salesforce and how quickly follow-ups close.

Everything in this walkthrough, from the visit note and checklist format to the suggested updates and the desk views, can be shaped to the way Katzman works.
